Education

I draw from my education, expertise and personal experiences to support my work with the people who seek my help. I hold an MA degree in counseling psychology and have multiple years of training in the theory and practice of gestalt therapy—a humanistic approach that honors the whole person as mind, body and spirit.

Experience

I have extensive experience providing services to individuals, couples and groups addressing a wide variety of issues. More recently, I am partnering with companies and other organizations to promote cultural diversity, awareness and inclusion in the workplace.

Motivation

Despite the challenges of living life as a physically blind person, I have created a wonderfully successful life. Speaking opportunities allow me to share my personal story and teach The Courage to Create™ principles for overcoming obstacles and moving forward in life.

Elyse became totally blind at age 23, a life-altering event that turned her world upside-down. She communicates to her audiences the valuable lessons she has learned--how to weather the storms of life, push beyond the obstacles that stand in your way and how to create personal happiness despite adversities in your life.
